Hello there! It’s been a while! What better time to bring back reviews of smashing tracks than this year’s Captainskydiver Advent Calendar?

Up first, in a batch of four short reviews, we have “In The Midden” by Rudi Zygadlo.

In The Midden is a fresh and funky track, which features on Rudi’s most recent album “Doggerland” which provides ‘pop music as escapism: a bubble of hope in a sea of doom, saluting the oncoming tides with big hooks and a wry sense of humour’ – Aimless Play.

This track is the kind of one I can see being used in a montage in an indie TV series. It gets your foot tapping and you can’t help but sing along. I’m fairly sure my neighbours now know the words! Rudi’s distinctive voice, fantastic lyrics, and memorable music make In The Midden a must hear! (Well… the whole album is, so you should probably listen to that too!).
