E.P Review: No Romance by The Holy Smokes

To sum up the debut E.P from The Holy Smokes in one word: BRAW!

For a debut album, these guys have done so well. They mix it up with fast paced rock songs and slightly slower, possibly even ambient sounding, tracks. My favourite track of the E.P has to be Track No#4 “Liar”. It stands out from the rest, with everything so brilliantly put together. Heavy driven guitars and drum bashing (the technical term fails me, but I figure that sounded pretty cool) with dual vocals layered perfectly over the top.

  1. Disenchanted
  2. Deceived
  3. Three Words
  4. Liar
  5. Disenchanted (Clean)

These guys are certainly worth tuning your lugs into and look out for them hitting a stage near your soon! (Although not literally because that would hurt *ouch*).
